Walks and field trips are held throughout the year. Local activities are a good way for members to enjoy our area’s natural heritage, share their experience and learn through observation.

Leaders: Tim and Katie Lizotte
Date and Time: Sunday, July 8, 1:30 p.m.

Tim and Katie manage their farm with an emphasis on conservation. They have worked on this project with partners such as the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority and the Species at Risk Farm Incentive Program (through the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association). This will be a 2 to 3 hour outing.

  • Alternatively, arrive at the farm at 8250 Langstaff Rd. in Kendal at 1:30 p.m.

From Port Hope, take Cty. Rd. 28 north to Cty. Rd. 9. Turn west on Cty. Rd. 9 and follow 9 through Elizabethville. Langstaff is the second sideroad west of the Northumberland/Durham County boundary, north of Cty. Rd. 9.
